Description
Mission: Soul Sacrifice, continues the supernatural struggle between humans and psychic vampires that began in Mission: Soul Rescue. Psychologist and shaman, Dr. Victor Furst, rescued the soul of his ex, Evelyn, from the spiritual realm of Hades, yet he remains uneasy. Will the psychic vampire who imprisoned her soul there, Basil Zarkisian, keep his part of their Faustian bargain?
Upon hearing of the U.S. embassy bombing in Armenia, Victor also learns that Zarkisian’s rebel group, the New Immortals, claims responsibility for the attack. In addition, they claim all the territory surrounding Mt. Ararat which once was their ancestral kingdom of Hayastan.
Meanwhile, his ever-resentful step-daughter, Miriam, is confined to a military hospital’s psychiatric clinic. Her soul, however, is trapped in Tartarus, a prison in Hades. Does that mean Victor must rescue her soul as well?
What’s more, Miriam’s soul is not the only one at stake. The U.S. military plans retaliation for the New Immortals’ bombing, and the vampires’ entrenchment at Mt. Ararat means a U. S. nuclear strike may be necessary to dislodge them. At the same time, a widening, dimensional rift in the sky over Ararat mountain shows thousands of devils are massing to help Zarkisian’s rebels. Hundreds of people may die. Thousands more will become living storage batteries for Zarkisian, the psychic vampires, and their devil master, Lord Ahriman to enslave the region..
For freedom to survive, Victor, Evelyn, and Miriam must put aside their resentments long enough to stop the carnage, but can they?
